Klaus is the President of Sight and Life, a nutrition think tank headquartered in Switzerland, and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of International Health of Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, USA. Klaus provides leadership, vision, and direction for a global team across four continents, interacts with funders and partners, and is the key spokesperson of the organisation. He edits Sight and Life magazine, serves several professional societies, is a reviewer for a number of scientific journals, has published over 130 scientific articles, reviews, and book chapters, and has co-edited 12 books and coordinated four special supplements in the field of micronutrients, food systems and health. Klaus holds a doctoral degree in nutrition science from the University of Giessen, Germany.
