John is a leading academic in nutrition economics and policy, with a focus on social protection, agriculture and gender. He has been heavily involved in primary data collection as well as subsequent analysis and presentation of this work to government officials in numerous nations. He has played a pivotal role in the evaluation of some of the world’s largest social protection schemes in Brazil, Ethiopia, South Africa and Bangladesh and has experience in nutrition-sensitive agriculture and social protection, gender, behaviour change, and early life nutrition.
