STRENGTHENING HEALTH SYSTEMS IN INDONESIA – proposed interventions

COVID-19 places a tremendous amount of pressure on Indonesia’s fragile health system- where there are just 1.2 hospital beds per 1,000 people. Alongside Save the Children Indonesia, we plan to strengthen district and community efforts to prevent COVID-19, with preventative measures such as distributing 48,125 family hygiene kits and establishing handwashing stations, alongside interventions to protect routine nutrition services for 14,000 pregnant women and 38,200 children. This first phase of the COVID-19 response requires $1 million.
