Our programmes
Our programmes and partnerships support mothers and children across Africa and Asia so communities can thrive.
Partnering with the World Bank and Government of Lesotho to create self-sustaining nutrition services
Lesotho
This partnership supports the government-led initiative in Lesotho to improve the quality and assurance of its health systems. It also prioritises self-sustaining nutrition interventions within communities and health facilities.
Integrating immunisation, sanitation and nutrition to improve children’s health in Indonesia: a holistic programme with Gavi, Unilever and GroupM
Indonesia - four regions
This innovative multisectoral programme seeks to protect young children from illness, malnutrition and premature deaths in Indonesia.
The Access Initiative – a monitoring tool that puts local communities at the heart of decision making
Ethiopia and Liberia
A simple, low-cost and fast monitoring tool that identifies community-level demand-side barriers to accessing nutrition services. Once identified, it then works with local communities and authorities to address the barriers to improve the reach, uptake and effectiveness of nutrition services.
Tackling malnutrition in DRC through a multisectoral approach
Democratic Republic of the Congo - Kasai, Kwilu and South Kivu
The Democratic Republic of the Congo has been gripped by multiple devastating humanitarian crises over many years. This has led to many children and women having little to no access to nutritious foods. This multisectoral programme aims to support the children and women most in need in DRC.
Partnering with SIDA to empower mothers and children in DRC through cash transfers
The Democratic Republic of the Congo - South Kivu
The DRC is facing one of the world’s largest hunger crises, exacerbated by conflict and displacement, with an estimated 23 million people experiencing crisis levels of food insecurity. The first phase of our programme supports mothers and children through cash transfers to address one of the key drivers of food insecurity: affordability.
Working in partnership to support women, children and teenage girls in Liberia
Liberia - five counties
Our second programme in Liberia focused on strengthening nutrition interventions within health facilities, supporting social and behaviour change interventions, communication to create demand for services, enhancing behaviour and scaling preventative malnutrition services. The programme also piloted and scaled high-impact interventions that specifically support adolescent girls.
